The craving for knowledge does not know limits and boundaries. You often read quotes on how many books do those “successful entrepreneurs” absorb, and you struggle to understand if that’s even remotely true.

Bill Gates reads 50 books a year? Yeah, right. Maybe now when he’s got quadrillions of dollars on his account, but I highly doubt that he was reading that much and building a global digital empire simultaneously.

But let’s leave poor Bill out of this. To be fair, your life probably isn’t set up to spend several hours every day consuming books and written content. Luckily though, there are a few different channels might help you overcome that gap.

Why podcasts?

You can’t really watch TV-shows when you work-out, neither you can read books while riding a bike. However, your phone and earphones can follow you anywhere.

Over the course of the past few years, podcasts became a premier technique to absorb ideas, knowledge and experiences. They grew into a standard type of on-demand content; easy-to-find, listen and understand.

Furthermore, recording and distributing a podcast is not considered a tough task either. All you need is a decent microphone, an audio (or video) recording device, video-editing software, and some knowledge about the topic you’re going to talk about.

Just get to the point!

Okay, okay – here it goes. The initial idea about creating a video/audio podcasts occurred to us a few weeks ago since most of Locastic crew consume content through this channel.

Since we are quite privileged to host really smart people in our office every month for Tinel Meetup – we decided to make the most out of it. The first episode featured the Dutch developer Pim Elshoff who is in charge of creating and managing software in Procurios agency.

During this 30-minute chat, we talked about various topics including the current state of the tech industry, agile projects, developer seniority, and eventually, we managed to touch upon his speaking career that blossomed in the past year.
