Locastic is hiring a talented mind who has a thing for fonts and colors, an experienced designer who’s not afraid to test innovative typography or unprecedented CTA buttons in weird places, as long as it makes sense for the users. Locastic is a software development team that develops web and mobile apps for our amazing clients, ranging from award-winning startups like Omolab, up to large enterprise brands including Cedevita, A1, Tommy, GFNY, PBZ, and Daikin.
Most of us are based in sunny Split, but we are open to remote work; so for example – One of us ran away to snowy Graz, Stephane prefers the comfort of his own home in France, while Ghaith, who just joined us from Tunisia, is considering a permanent move to Croatia. Ultimately, you can work from anywhere, as long as your tasks from Jira are finding their way to the DONE section.
Who are we looking for?
A skilled designer who can apply their design mindset to some of our award-winning software products! The person in question should be talented, creative, and experienced in creating web and mobile apps through all stages – from discovery, market research, building app wireframes, user testing, and finally – building amazing interface designs in Figma.
You will work with an experienced team of software engineers and products managers on building custom products for clients from all over the globe. Your main task will be to determine the potential design challenges and then solve them by creating optimized user interfaces and experiences.
- Impeccable knowledge of design tools like Figma (or Sketch), Photoshop, Illustrator
- Advanced understanding of design and informational architecture patterns
- A deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative UX/UI process; eg. user personas, various scenarios, prototyping, user research, and design systems
- Ability to grasp modern CSS tooling and techniques
- At least 5-years of experience in product design
- Good cooperation and communication with the team and clients
- Problem-solving and decision making independence
- An aspiration to share knowledge among team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
