Hey, glad you clicked on the post! Locastic is on a guerilla mission to find new additions to our programming team. Some new projects are popping up and it turns out that we’re missing firepower in the React department.
If this is your first encounter with Locastic, we’re a team specialized in developing software products. During the past eight years, we were fortunate enough to work with a variety of amazing clients – from award-winning startups like Omolab, up to enterprise brands like Cedevita, A1, Tommy, GFNY, PBZ, and Daikin.
Who are we looking for?
Contrary to popular belief in most job ads, you don’t have to be a programming ninja, wizard, magician, or a prodigy – we just need you to be a decent React developer with experience in building custom software.
- Solid React knowledge
- At least 5-years of experience in building custom software.
- Experience with JS testing libraries like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.
- Ability to grasp modern CSS tooling and techniques
- Experience with version control systems (GIT)
- Experience with CI/CD
- Design and architecture patterns
- Good cooperation and communication inside and outside the team
- Problem-solving and decision making independence
- An aspiration to share knowledge among team members
- Work experience in building complex software
What’s in it for you?
Money, for starters. Your monthly salary will range from 18.000 to 25.000 HRK (gross), depending on the level of your React skills. We really suck at random guessing, so you will need to solve a React coding test so we can determine how good you actually are.
Apart from that, a variety of challenges. You will become a part of a talented team with a track record of winning awards, but there’s plenty of room for Open-Source work, hackathons, playing games, or investing in your personal development through conferences and workshops.
Work from anywhere!
Most of us are based in sunny Split, but we are open to remote work; so for example – One of us ran away to snowy Graz, Stephane prefers the comfort of his own home in France, while Ghaith, who just joined us from Tunisia, is considering a permanent move to Croatia. Ultimately, you can work from anywhere, as long as your tasks from Jira are finding their way to the DONE section.
Are you up for the challenge?

You are in charge of your own progress - pick a conference and we’ll send you there. Do you also have event-speaking aspirations? We’ll reward you for it.
During the winter we pinpoint a ski resort for some snowboarding, while in summer… well, just Google "Stončica Bay".
Open Source work
We enjoy doing Open Source projects because nothing really beats the feeling of a proper community contribution.
Too lazy to book a doctor’s appointment? We’ll take care of that.
